Eeep, um

I have just been invited to participate in a debate, sponsored by my local Waterstones in conjunction with the public library, about the Booker Prize shortlist. I have to read one of the Booker books and "debate its merits".

On 6th October.

Ack!

I said I'd do it but I'm a bit nervous about it.

Anyone in the UK want to come give me moral support? I'm in Devon (Exeter area) so it is probably quite a trek for most of you, but if any of you want to come let me know.

I'll fuel up the corporate jet, D, and be right over. :) You'll do fine. Use weaknesses or strengths in plot and scene structure to fuel your comments, as you've done with the series on erotic romance writing.

Thanks guys! I'm starting to think I was kind of crazy to agree to do it, honestly. It seemed like such a fun idea this morning. Now...urgh. :-)

I'm going to hold you to that, Bernard!

Just picture everyone naked.

Unless they're good-looking, that is.

And congrats on your Lunch deal! I was in a hurry to post in the middle of a lunch rush, and my good wishes got missed. I really ought not surf at work...

:D
